This is an AWESOME vintage 60s Lanvin jacket tailored by Wolf Custom Tailors in NY. It is a lux burgundy color in a heavy velvet that is fully lined, fully canvassed and has a single rear vent. It is in excellent condition. We see the Lanvin lining in the sleeves, and their early pieces are sometimes lined and not labeled. We have a similiar 60s sharkskin suit by Lanvin with just the lining and the tailor name. We attribute the top notch tailoring on this velvet piece to Wolf Mitzmacher, a Holocaust survivor born in 1935. He was in Auschwitz in 1942 and died in 1991. One of the finest pieces you will find.
